The process
How It Works
Four steps, from your first call to a plan you understand. Here's what actually happens when you work with us.
There's no set timeline we can promise you, because no two situations are the same. What we can tell you is the order things happen in, and what to expect at each step.
Free consultation
We start with a conversation, not a commitment. You tell us what's going on — the notices you've received, the calls you're getting, what you're worried about — and we explain, in plain language, what your options might look like. There's no cost for this call and no obligation to move forward.
The Tax Investigation Phase
If you decide to move forward, this is where we find out exactly what we're dealing with. With your authorization, we go straight to the source instead of guessing.
- We obtain your IRS and account transcripts
- We review your filing and collection history
- We analyze your financial situation
- We identify the resolution options that realistically apply to you
- We put it all in a written resolution plan you can read and keep
The Resolution Phase
This is a separate phase, and it only begins if you decide to move forward after seeing your written plan. Once you do, we begin representing you and putting the selected strategy into action — filing what's needed, dealing with the IRS on your behalf, and working the case through.
Ongoing communication
Tax cases can take time, and things can change along the way. We keep you updated as your case moves, and you'll always know who to contact if you have a question.
This is a general description of how we work, not a promise about your specific case. Timelines vary, and no firm can guarantee a particular outcome, program eligibility, or dollar amount before reviewing your situation. What you can count on is a clear plan and honest answers at each step.
